Leigh holds a Bachelor of Arts in English with minors in Creative Writing and French from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, California. She is a published author, journalist with 15 years of experience, and a freelance writer, specializing in corporate communications, website material, and technical writing.

She offers her professional experience to clearly and wholeheartedly express the purpose, beliefs, and mission of ACED. Her personal experience empowers her to do this job with a unique sensitivity -- Leigh is fully recovered from a near-fatal, decade-long battle with anorexia.

Leigh is the mother of three amazing kids, some from adoption, others from birth. She runs a foster-adoption ministry at her church in Houston, Texas, where she's fueling her novel-writing ambitions and still looking for the best Thai food.

Did I choose to have anorexia? ‘No,’ “Would I change the past? No way. I understand the hurt, the suffering, the at-rock-bottoms, the ones referred to as hopeless. I was one of them. I also understand the recovered. I am one of them. I know this beauty awaits everyone.
