Lyndsey joined the ACED team after an accidental meeting with our Executive Director at a local coffee shop. Her unique skillset and education make her a wonderful addition to the ACED team. She is a certified Yoga Instructor, a former Licensed professional Counselor and Nurse Practitioner. She received her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Birmingham Southern College, Her master’s in counseling from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, and is double Board certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner and Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner with a specialty in adolescents and young adults.

Lyndsey and her partner have traveled the world engaged in humanitarian efforts and medical needs of those less fortunate. Her hope is that they can resume travel once COVID is under control and have decided their next global endeavors will include work in Guyana, South America and perhaps return to Haiti, a country that has stolen her heart.

Lyndsey brings a love of women’s health and healing to her practice. She has a gentle presence and provides a safe place for clients to be honest in their experience without judgement. She is mom to one cranky black cat and two precious kittens who make her laugh. She enjoys scuba diving, running, and traveling. She completed two half Ironman Triathlons and isn’t afraid to try new, challenging things.

Her perfect idea of a Saturday involves some morning yoga, maybe a run with friends and “chillaxin” with a cup of decaf at the local coffee hang out.

Be a good human, no excuses.
