Caroline holds a Master of Arts in Counseling from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and is a Licensed Professional Counselor. Caroline is certified by the National Board for Certified Counselors, and trained in EMDR (eye-movement desensitization and reprocessing) and PBSP (Pesso Boyden System Psychomotor).

She has treated people struggling with eating disorders and trauma-related issues for over 28 years in both private practice and at the University of Alabama Birmingham, UAB.

Caroline enjoys spending time near the water, volunteering at a local kitty kat rescue, or “just being” with her husband of 30 years and their awesome cats.


My main role as a therapist is to help people find themselves and then stay connected to their true self, this connection with one’s self – and the acceptance of one’s self – drives a person toward life and away from the trap of an eating disorder.
